“Diaspora Dinner”, to help save the lives of mothers and children
The Foundation “Action for Mothers and Children”, in cooperation with the Swiss organization “Solidar Suisse”, organizes the charity event “Diaspora Dinner” at Restaurant Eni’t in Zürich, Switzerland on 29th of September 2017, from 19:00 to 21: 00.
At this charity dinner, Dr. Omer Dzemali, among the 100 brightest minds in Switzerland, will hold a speech for the guests. The event will include music and other activities during the evening, and is open to the public through purchasing the ticket in the amount of 100 CHF per person. Business people and philanthropists are invited to support the evening as sponsors.
The purpose of this humanitarian dinner is to raise funds that are needed to reduce the infant mortality rate in the Kosovo. Ever since the war, the mortality rate was 29 babies per 1,000 births and we have managed to reduce it to 11 deaths per 1,000 births – a figure that still remains high not only in the region but also in Europe.
In order to reduce the mortality rate, the Foundation develops health programs which are: the supply of the Neonatology and Gynecology Clinic in UCCK with essential medicaments and necessary medical equipment, also the opening of ‘Mother’s Classes’, the development of neonatal transport and many other programs.
The event is made possible thanks to the support of Eni’s Restaurant, the Albanian Business Network in Switzerland, and the medium “Albinfo” as well as the organization Germin and Eurokoha.
