Meet the band “Don’t listen to your neighbors”
 
Along their classical education and various musical engagements, the three musicians from Gjakova have maintained and developed their passion for the traditional albanian music. The result is a unique reinterpretation of old folk songs with sophisticated arrangements, jazzy elements and typical eastern european rhythms that get under your skin. Allthough some songs sound similar to the portugese Fado or the french Chanson at the beginning, they manage to transmit the authentic feeling and soul of the albanian folk music, even if you do not speak the language.
 

During the last years Don’t listen to your neighbors have managed to not only fascinate the audience in their home country but also in places like Basel and Berlin.
